Cloud Types (Deployment Models)

Cloud types describe how cloud resources are deployed and managed, including their location, ownership, and accessibility.

Public cloud

Resources (e.g., storage, servers) are owned and managed by a cloud provider (like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and shared among multiple users. It’s cost-effective and scalable.

Private cloud

Resources are used exclusively by a single organization, often hosted on-premises or by a third-party provider. It offers more control and security.

Hybrid cloud

Combines public and private clouds, allowing data and applications to move between them. It provides flexibility and scalability while maintaining security, Compliance for sensitive workloads. Some workloads require to be hosted privately due to some regulations or policies, hybrid cloud allows hosting this type of workloads in private cloud while benefiting from public cloud for other workloads.

Multi-cloud

Multi-cloud refers to the use of services from multiple cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) within a single architecture. It allows organizations to leverage the unique strengths of different providers while avoiding dependence on just one.
